NursePay is a website where nurses can share and compare compensation and workplace insights. It's made for nurses by nurses.
Browse freely through salaries, benefits, workplace culture and department specific insights.
That said, this only works if enough of us are willing to share these insights. Please consider adding your voice. We are a community of nurses helping nurses.
When pay/income is kept a secret it makes it difficult for us nurses to know if we are underpaid relative to similar nursing positions.
I want every nurse in the world to know their worth.
We all know that pay isn't everything. Yet the benefits offered to nurses are often times confusing or cryptic and workplace culture is a mystery until we experience it ourselves.
I want nurses to be able to compare workplaces so that they can make the employment decisions that are right for them. This means being able to evaluate not just on hourly wage but the ENTIRE compensation package and culture (red flags included!) before taking the job.
No. This is for any and all nurses.
The vision is for this to be a resource for RNs, APRN, LVN/LPNs, and non-clinical nurses.
I only ask that you are honest and want to be part of our supportive community. 💛
As nurses, we often focus on hourly wage. It's important! But our total compensation comes from lots of different areas such as retirement packages, time off, breaks, vacations, and even things like parking costs or general work environments. All these things add up or take away from our net pay.
We can still love what we do or answer a calling to become a nurse. But how we are compensated matters, too.
Ha! I wish. Right now it's actually costing me $130/month to host the site plus countless hours of time. I'd love to find a way to at least break even so that it's more sustainable. Let me know if you have any ideas!
Share this with other nurses. Somewhere out there is a nurse that could really use our help. By spreading the word we help more nurses. Thank you for being part of the nurses helping nurses community!
If you'd like to be more involved please contact me. I always want to hear from you!
From real nurses around the globe. Nurses anonymously report their income and workplace data and I create the tables and visualizations that you see.
NursePay was built to help nurses. The data is not to be used in connection with any commercial endeavors except those that are specifically endorsed or approved by NursePay. Copying, modifying or creating derivative works of any content is prohibited without my express written permission. Please see Terms of Service for more details.
No names are collected. I review every entry before posting to ensure no personal identifiers are published. Furthermore, any salary or workplace entry published on NursePay website is not linked to any personally identifiable information. Please see the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for more details.
I review the data as it comes in but it takes some time to convert to the schmancy data visualization tables that allows us to sort and filter. I try to update the data every few days.
If your entry is missing information (ex: if there is no specific campus name of a large medical system) or if there is a typo (ex: "hourly wage $400"), then I will hold off posting it. If you notice your entry is missing - please reach out so I can clarify any confusion on the data.
Yes! This will always be a resource that is built FOR nurses BY a community of nurses. If you have other items to add to the above list please contact me. I can't wait to hear from you!
I started out collecting either salary or hourly wages but quickly found it difficult to compare these two different values in a meaningful way. I therefore adjusted all annual salaries to hourly wages to make it easier for nurses to compare each entry. I based the calculations on a 36-40hr full time work week. If you have any questions about your entry please contact me.
No worries, contact me and let me know.
